A groundbreaking hotel in Downtown D.C., designed as a celebration of female empowerment, has been honored with a stunning combination of architecture, artwork and elegant polished plaster wall finishes installed by Senza Finé.
Hotel Zena, the second Viceroy Hotels & Resorts property to open in the city this year, is a sleek and modern 191-room boutique hotel where guests are immersed in a collection of gallery-quality art that fills the space. As an interactive venue, the interior and materials selected create an inviting atmosphere finished in soft, warm hues.
With concept interior design by Dawson Design Associates and specified by Architecture Inc., over 9,000 square feet of Armourcoat Spatulata polished plaster was hand-applied to the walls throughout the hotel by Manassas-based Senza Finé. Spatulata is a highly luxurious finish with remarkable depth and sheen. A superfine marble stucco paste developed from traditional materials, Spatulata is trowel applied in numerous fine layers by skilled applicators. The resulting highly polished decorative surface adds a touch of luxury to interior spaces.
