Polished plaster surface finishes add dramatic color to Ballston Exchange in the heart of Arlington’s Rosslyn-Ballston Metro corridor.
A stunning redevelopment by Jamestown, the class A property offers over 770,000 square feet of combined office and retail space including architectural renovations and common areas. Ballston Exchange represents a transformation in workspace design with innovative interiors creating a connected and collaborative environment, certified to LEED Silver v4 green building rating.
As part of the interior design, over 6,500 square feet of Armourcoat Spatulata polished plaster was hand-applied to the walls and ceilings in five lobby areas by Manassas-based Senza Finé. Spatulata is a highly luxurious finish with remarkable depth and sheen. A superfine marble stucco paste developed from traditional materials, Spatulata is trowel applied in numerous fine layers by skilled applicators. The resulting highly polished decorative surface adds a touch of luxury to interior spaces.
