The slender, dynamic towers of the luxury Altaire Apartments in Crystal City, offer sweeping views of the Potomac River and D.C.’s national monuments, and provide the showcase setting for polished plaster surface finishes by specialist installer Senza Finé.
Specified by the Akseizer Design Group, Armourcoat polished plaster has been hand-applied to walls in the main lobby of the high-end residential complex to complement its modern design features. Brick, metal, exposed concrete and glass combine to create a contemporary, urban style. Columns within the lobby were also finished with over 2,000 square feet of Armour-Stonne, creating a solid stone effect. The resulting building has achieved LEED Gold Certification.
Armour-Stonne is Senza Fine’s latest product line created in partnership with Armourcoat. These new plaster looks are created using a combination of slaked lime, recycled marble powder and multiple additives. Armour-Stonne is handcrafted in two classic finishes: Rustic or Traditional. Clients can choose from a contemporary range of standard colors or create a custom color of their choice. With two timeless looks and endless color options at a value-driven price, Armour-Stonne is the logical solution designed for today’s fast-paced environment.
